Jacksonville FL — Monday, the City of Jacksonville announced four new coronavirus testing express lanes at sites across the city will be available for all Duval County students. Mayor Lenny Curry says students wanting to get tested must have a verification letter from their school and they have to be with a parent or guardian to get a test. We’re told the letters will be available at every school’s administration office.
“This will be available to all students in our city, traditional public schools, public charter schools and private schools.” Curry says.
He says testing will be available for those who are asymptomatic.
The four locations that will have the express lane are:
- Oceanway Senior Center - 12215 Sago Ave. W. – 32218
- Lane Wiley Senior Center - 6710 Wiley Road – 32210
- Leroy D. Clemons Senior Center - 55 Jackson Ave. N. – 32220
- Mandarin Senior Center - 3848 Hartley Road – 32257
Curry says results can be expected within two days. The lanes will be open from 11AM until 7PM Monday through Friday.
To ensure all Duval County Public, Charter School, AND private school students have the opportunity for faster COVID-19 testing when needed, we are establishing a student express lane at four different testing sites with Logistics Health. (1/2) pic.twitter.com/kPxG0miC7k
