JACKSONVILLE ZOO AND GARDENS’ SPOOKTACULAR

Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens is renowned for blending the traditional with the new. While popular characters such as the

Gliding Ghoul will make a comeback, there are new additions including an expanded fear-inducing scare zone. For guests

seeking a milder experience, a Scaredy Cat necklace can be purchased to signal a toned-down level of frights. Themed

elements such as the Phantom Forest, Pumpkin Hollow, Fall Festival, guarantee a memorable experience for visitors.

Known for its thrilling, creepy characters, haunting traditions, and themed areas, the Zoo has upped the ante for this year’s

Spooktacular. The scare zones are intensified, promising haunting sights around every corner and spine-chilling thrills. But

the event isn’t just about the scares; it’s also perfect for an unforgettable family experience where guests can dress in their

favorite family-friendly costumes.

DATES: October 13-15, October 19-22 and October 26-31. Members can get a first-preview on October 12, 2023.

PORCHFEST

The ninth annual Jacksonville PorchFest, a music festival held on the welcoming front porches of Historic Springfield, will take place on Saturday, November 4, 2023, from 12 pm to 8 pm. The free, family-friendly event will feature musicians from a wide variety of genres. Afternoon entertainment will include more than twenty performers on porches throughout the historic district. Attendees will stroll from porch to porch and “camp out” on front lawns and sidewalks as they enjoy live, local talent. Maps of porches, performers, and parking will be announced soon and will be provided on our website and at our welcome tent on the day of the festival.

BEACHES OKTOBERFEST

CROCTOBERFEST BEW AT THE ZOO

This conservation event is held on the first weekend of October each year. The St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park partners with breweries and vendors throughout Florida to offer sample beers, food, and live music as you stroll through the zoo and learn about conservation work happening right here in St Johns County.
